One of the oldest gold mine companies in California.

About Us

The Hines Gilbert Gold Mines Company is one the oldest gold mine companies in California and holds mineral rights, including those conveyed by the Huckaby Estate pursuant to a court order. The Company owns in excess of 1107+ acres of mineral rights which are located in six different locations in the El Dorado and Placer Counties of California. Four of the six locations lie within or adjacent to the highly productive Mother Lode gold trend. Most mineral positions contain a 100% share of the mineral rights. The Company is still cataloguing its holdings and is in an acquisition mode.

Multiple detailed reports state that all mineral right positions held by the Company have some potential to contain deposits of precious and/or industrial metals. Several of the positions contain, or are adjacent to, historical productive gold mines. All of the positions appear to be gold plays. One of these properties has been estimated to contain over 100,000 oz. of quartz hosted gold. An additional property may contain possible placer gold deposits. One property is adjacent to chromite mines sourced in serpentinite rock (ultramafic), but the actual mineral rights appear to cover a significant fault structure that might contain un-tested gold, hosted in non-ultramafic rock.

Location

The “California Mother Lode” is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in a region 40-70 miles east of Sacramento, California. This region has a rich history of gold exploration and production. From discovery in 1849 until 1959, the Mother Lode gold-mining region produced 13.3 million troy ounces of gold across 5 counties: El Dorado, Amador, Calaveras, Tuolumne, and Mariposa (Koschmann and Bergendahl, 1968). That amount of gold at 2014 prices totals over $17B dollars of gross value. The majority of the gold produced from the Mother Lode gold-mining district was recovered from a trend of lode-gold quartz veins located within a 120 mile long, 1 to 4 mile wide zone that runs north-northwest through the Sierra Nevada Foothills. The Company is positioned within this zone.
